In Germany, there are plenty of fantastic opportunities for expectant parents to prepare for their new arrival – and even receive free welcome gifts along the way!
I’m Rongrong, and during my own pregnancy, I tested out many of these programmes myself. Here’s an overview of the most reliable providers where you can receive small but practical freebies before or shortly after your baby is born.

1. DM Glückskind – Reliable & Rewarding

Once registered as a DM customer, you can sign up for the Glückskind programme by adding your due date to your account.
Then download the DM app – your coupons for welcome gifts and special offers will appear there.
If you have a Payback card, you can link it for extra rewards.
DM sends pregnancy tips and small useful gifts. In 2023, I received a muslin cloth and wet wipes, redeemable with an in-app voucher at checkout.
2. Rossmann Babywelt – Simple, Fast & Generous

Download the Rossmann app and wait a few days – a welcome package voucher will appear.
Show it at the checkout to receive a well-stocked baby pack, including items like a changing pouch, baby bottle, socks, and skincare product samples.
After birth, we even received another free gift during a routine shop – including toys and other practical goodies.
3. HiPP Mein BabyClub – Personal & Thoughtful

While there are fewer discounts, the gifts feel more personal.
The first item you receive is a pregnancy journal with your name on the cover – my personal favourite!
Later on, you’ll receive trial packages including nappies, massage oil, and formula samples – sent in several stages.
Tip: The coupons are mostly useful for shopping in HiPP’s online store.
4. Amazon Baby Wishlist – Gift After First Purchase

Create a baby wishlist and spend at least €20 on items from your list – you’ll then receive a welcome gift worth up to €16.
